Responsibilities
The CAD Survey Technician supports the preparation and completion of survey projects by transforming field data into accurate and detailed drawings. This position involves close collaboration with field crews, project managers, and clients to ensure that survey deliverables meet all technical and quality standards. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the flexibility to adapt to shifting project demands while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities include:
- Work collaboratively with project teams to develop complete and accurate survey drawings.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, field crews, and clients to ensure clarity and alignment.
- Adapt to changing client requirements and scheduling priorities as needed.
- Produce high-quality survey drawings and related documentation that meet established standards and specifications.
- Apply problem-solving skills to maintain workflow and resolve project challenges efficiently.
- Demonstrate flexibility when reassigned to high-priority or emergency projects.
- Retrieve research documents independently when the research specialist is unavailable.
- Assist field crews with data collection and project support during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Land Surveying degree and/or at least 2 years of land surveying experience preferred.
- 2 or more years of CAD drafting experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Exchange).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive mental attitude and willingness to learn.
